Aims
This programme is co-organized by Xinya College of Tsinghua University, Beijing, to foster student exchanges between students from Mainland China and Hong Kong. Through a series of academic lectures, seminars and visiting activities, the participants will gain a deeper understanding of the social, cultural and technological development of the two places.
New Asia students who participate in this programme need to conduct theme-related research and develop ideas during the visit of Tsinghua University in early July and present their findings in Hong Kong part. Students will visit local institutions to gain an in-depth understanding of the development of the two places on the theme of that year. Students of Xinya College of Tsinghua University will visit New Asia College in mid-July.
Expenses
The College will subsidize transportation, accommodation, meals and activities incurred. Students are only required to pay a participation fee of HK$1,600 and their personal expenditure. Upon completion of the programme, participation fee of HK$800 will be refunded.
Criteria and Remarks:
- All New Asia students are welcome.
- Participants must attend all activities arranged in both Hong Kong and Beijing parts of the exchange programme.
- Participants should ensure that you have a valid travel document (Home Visit Permit is required for Hong Kong residents).
- Certificate will be provided upon completion.

Beijing Part: 30 June – 4 July 2025
Hong Kong Part: 7 July – 11 July 2025
(Participants must attend both parts of the exchange programme.)

Interview and Selection
Shortlisted students must attend the interview in mid-May (Notification email will be sent to shortlisted students individually.)
