STEAM Student Leader Training Scheme

 

Aims

Funded by “UGC Funding Scheme for Global Learning & Experience Programmes”, this programme aims to enhance the leadership skills of undergraduate local students who are passionate about working in the field of education, particularly in the area of STEAM. Students will participate in lectures on leadership and also gain practical experience by guiding secondary students on STEAM study. Additionally, Students will have a chance to participate in a trip to Yangzhou to learn more about agricultural development there and an understanding of the cultural significance of soybean and rice. Upon completion of the programme, students will receive a certificate of participation.

Programme Period
Spring to Summer 2025 (including Soybean and Rice Agricultural & Cultural Trip in Yangzhou during 10 – 14 August 2025)

 

Fee
Participation fee HK$1800 (including round-trip air-tickets, accommodation and activities). HK$800 will be refunded upon the completion of the programme.

 

Criteria

– Participants are required to attend all leadership lectures and organize and participate in activities with secondary students. While participating in activities with secondary students, student allowance will be provided to the participants.

–  After the Soybean and Rice trip, participants are required to provide guidance and support to secondary students who will prepare final presentations and reports showcasing their learning and projects.

– Upon completion of the programme, participants are required to submit individual written reports and complete a group vlog video.
