STEAM Student Leader Training Scheme

Aims

This programme aims to inspire undergraduate students who are passionate about education—particularly in the STEAM fields—to develop an interest in leadership. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with educators or social leaders, learning more about the qualities and skills essential for effective leadership.

Under the guidance of professional teachers, participants will lead local secondary school students on an agricultural and cultural tour in Harbin, Heilongjiang, gaining valuable hands-on experience. After the trip, participants will assist in organizing a showcase event. Upon completion of the prorgamme, participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Target Participants

  • New Asia College undergraduate students who are interested in education, particularly in the STEAM fields
  • Open to all majors – diversity of perspectives encouraged

 

Programme Period 

  • 19 – 23 July 2026 – Agricultural and cultural tour in Harbin, Heilongjiang (Partner Institution: College of Agriculture, Northeast Agricultural University). Tentative activities include lectures, field trips, cultural exchange, and sightseeing etc.
  • Late Sept 2026 (TBC) – Showcase event

 

Fee
Participation fee HK$1800 (including round-trip air-tickets, accommodation and activities). HK$800 will be refunded upon the completion of the programme.

 

Criteria

  • Attend each leadership exchange session.
  • Attend the briefing session for the Agricultural and Cultural Tour in Harbin.
  • Accompany teachers in leading local secondary school students on an agricultural and cultural tour in Harbin.
  • After the trip, participants will assist in organizing a showcase event. When necessary, provide guidance and support to secondary school students as they prepare their learning outcomes and reports.
  • Upon completion of the programme, participants are required to submit individual written reports and complete a group vlog video.
