Each hostel has its own common rooms, television room, computer room and study rooms. Air-conditioning and computer network connections are available at individual rooms. Residents can access the Wi-Fi service at hostels. They can also use the “OCTOPUS” cards to operate the air-conditioners and laundry facilities.

Application for hostel accommodation would be invited in April for current students and late-August for freshmen respectively. Student can refer to the announcements of the Dean of Students’ Office or the College homepage for details.

Non-local Students (admitted in AY 2024/25 or before)

Starting from the 2016/2017 academic year, the university implemented the N-1 residence policy for non-local students. This means that for non-local students who enrolled in programmes for three years or above, they must participate in the selection exercise for hostel at the fourth year. Whether they are assigned to a hostel place depends on their hostel points.

Non-local Students (admitted in AY 2025/26 or after)

To align with university policy and balance hostel arrangements between local and non-local students, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year (and for non-local students admitted thereafter), the university implements the N-2 residence policy. Under this policy, non-local students who enrolled in programmes for three years or above will need to participate in the selection exercise for hostel at the third year. Whether they are assigned to a hostel place depends on their hostel points.
