2. New Asia College Get-together Noodle Luncheon 2024/25 (Second Term)
To better understand our freshmen and students in adapting university life and to promote more contact and interaction between staff and students, the “Get-together Luncheon” will be launched from February to April with the following details:

3. New Asia College / Hunan University / Soochow University Summer Exchange Programme 2025
This programme aims to foster cultural exchange between students from Hong Kong and mainland China. Students from Hunan University and C. W. Chu College of Soochow University will visit New Asia College in early July, accompanied by NA students who will also participate in the field trips in Hong Kong. During their stay, all participants will engage in a range of activities, including visits to various CUHK units, government offices, and social service organizations, as well as other cultural and social events. In a reciprocal gesture, New Asia students will visit Hunan University in Changsha in mid-July, where they will volunteer to teach in a remote town or village. They will then travel to Suzhou to visit Soochow University. While in Suzhou, students will delve into the region’s cultural and historical heritage and also visit Mr. Ch’ien Mu’s tombstone. Upon completion of the programme, students will receive a certificate of participation. Please find more details on the college website.

4. AI-Generated Graphic Design Contest
The Committee on Environmental Protection is organizing an AI-Generated Graphic Design Contest with a theme “Carbon Neutrality”. This contest aims to encourage participants to make use of AI technology to create meaningful, impactful visuals that can help raise awareness and reflection about Carbon Neutrality. Winners will be awarded with cash prizes and certificates. All NA students and staff are welcome!

5. Round Table Seminar – “Nature Conservation of Hong Kong”
The Committee on Environmental Protection of New Asia College is organizing a round table seminar with a theme “Nature Conservation of Hong Kong.” We are honored to have invited three guest speakers who are educators and practitioners in the field of nature conservation to share their experiences and initiatives in preserving natural environment and sustaining Hong Kong’s biodiversity such as coral reefs, wetlands and butterfly reserves. It also provides a platform for our students, staff and the general public to engage in discussions and explore collaborative opportunities to protect and nurture Hong Kong’s natural environment. 6. “Traveling through 1000 years of Kyoto” Cultural Study Tour
The College is organizing a cultural study tour with the theme “Traveling through 1000 years of Kyoto.” This tour will take students to Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and nearby places in Japan to deepen their understanding of the rich traditional and historical culture of Kyoto and the Kansai region. The College also subsidizes students to plan and participate in various traditional and cultural activities on their own. Additionally, the itinerary will include a visit to a local university that provides an opportunity for our students to interact with local peers, offering our students the chance to interact with local peers and foster cultural exchange and mutual understanding. 7. New Asia College Event: Greater Bay Area Innovation, Technology and Cultural Tour (2 to 5 March 2025)
In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of New Asia College, the College is organizing the ‘Greater Bay Area Innovation, Technology and Cultural Tour’ from 2 to 5 March 2025. Through visits to CUHK (Shenzhen), featured enterprises and cultural parks in the Greater Bay Area, this tour aims to provide students with insights into the region’s corporate and cultural development. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with staff and students from Harmonia College, our sister college, fostering stronger connections between the two colleges.
During the tour, students will be visiting various innovation and technology enterprises to learn about the latest technological advancements and corporate culture development, as well as exploring diverse culture and creative attractions such as Nantou Ancient Town, Dafen Oil Painting Village and Qianyu Island Cultural and Creative Park. Moreover, with a one-night stay in Harmonia College, students will have the opportunity to experience campus life in our sister college in the CUHK (Shenzhen) campus.
Fees of this tour is fully subsidized by the College. Students who are interested to join should complete their online application on or before 12:00 noon, 20 February 2025.
