On 16 March 2024, the College arranged a visit to Harmonia College and Minerva College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), with the aim of promoting exchanges and cooperation between Colleges of the two regions, and enriching students’ learning experiences. Participants included more than twenty College administrative members and basketball team members.

In the morning, we first visited Harmonia College located in the Upper Campus of CUHK-Shenzhen. Through a detailed explanation by the College staff and a tour of its facilities, we gained an understanding of the College’s characteristics and educational philosophy. Afterwards, our students engaged in an exciting basketball match with students from Harmonia College. The students participated in the match with full dedication and demonstrated their team spirit and athletic talents.

After lunch, we proceeded to Minerva College to visit its main facilities and attend an intercollegiate symposium. We had in-depth exchange of views and discussions with representatives from Minerva College, particularly sharing our work and experiences in the hope of mutual learning. Meanwhile, students from both Colleges participated in the “Minerva Heritage: Mortise and Tenon Craft Workshop” to learn traditional mortise and tenon techniques, and gain insights into the craftsmanship and wisdom of ancient Chinese architecture.

This visit not only deepened our understanding of Harmonia College and Minerva College but also provided a valuable opportunity to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the Colleges. We sincerely thank Harmonia College and Minerva College for their warm hospitality and look forward to similar opportunities in the future.
