The Committee on Environmental Protection of the College organised the “Video Competition: Green Initiatives in CUHK” to engage students and staff in promoting environmental protection and sustainability on campus through a creative video to propose green initiatives in CUHK. Finally, the Committee selected the winning entry, and we would like to congratulate the winner!

Champion: Lam Wing-sze (Statistics/Year 3) “If there comes a day”

In this engaging animated video, I invite viewers to imagine a future where our campus lies in ruins, highlighting the urgent need for a low-carbon lifestyle. Through vibrant visuals, I present simple actions everyone can take to make a difference: recycling, turning off lights, using fans instead of air conditioning, and bringing reusable bottles.

I also showcase inspiring initiatives of student organisations that promote sustainability and foster a low-carbon campus. By illustrating these collective efforts, I aim to motivate my audience to adopt eco-friendly habits and protect the beauty of our environment.
