  1. The New Asia College Alumni Association of Ontario held its annual general meeting on 27 September 2024 evening, while also celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the College. That evening, more than 50 alumni from different eras attended the event and shared their life experiences at New Asia, including stories from Farm Road, early experiences of ”chasing after trains and school buses” in Shatin, and the educational impacts of the College’s General Education courses and Bi-weekly Assemblies.

College Head Professor Sun-On Chan also prepared a greeting video to say hello to alumni who moved to Toronto, Canada. He thanked everyone for their long-standing dedication to the College and wished them well. Additionally, alumnus Mr. Ng Shu-sing Steve (69/Economics), an Executive Member of the Ontario Alumni Association, visited his alma mater from Canada on 11 November to present a birthday card prepared by the Association during the annual general meeting. Mr. Ng met Professor Chan on the same day and made a donation to establish the “Ng Shu Sing Scholarship”.

  2. The New Asia College Alumni Association of Northern California and The Overseas Alumni Association of CUHK (Northern California) co-organised an autumn gathering on 5 October 2024, inviting the wife and daughter of the late Dr. Bau Yunshen, a teacher from the Department of Biology. The event included a stroll in Ardenwood Historical Park and a dim sum tea party. Nearly thirty alumni and friends from various Colleges of CUHK joined the event, enjoying a pleasant time together.
