“New Asia College / Hunan University / Soochow University Summer Exchange Programme” successfully completed in July 2024. This programme aims to foster cultural exchange between students from Hong Kong and Mainland China. A total of 28 students and staff from Hunan University and Soochow University visited the College from 8 to 15 July 2024. During their stay in Hong Kong, New Asia students arranged various activities, including visits to CUHK units, government offices and social service organisations, as well as engaged in cultural and social activities. As a reciprocal gesture, New Asia students visited Hunan University from 19 to 24 July , where they volunteered to teach  primary school students in a remote town or village. They then travelled to Suzhou to visit Soochow University from 25 to 30 July. While in Suzhou, students delved into the region’s cultural and historical heritage, as well as visited leading local enterprises and Mr. Ch’ien Mu’s tombstone.
