Dr. Edward Tse Chaired the New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China 2021/22

"New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China 2021/22" was held on 11 February this year. It was our honour to have invited Dr. Edward Tse, Founder and CEO of Gao Feng Advisory Company, as well as Adjunct Professor of the CUHK Business School, to share his comprehensive view on the topic “China’s Digital Innovations” as a pioneer of management consulting services in Mainland China. The lecture is sponsored by the "Dato' Wong Kwing-keung Fund".

Dr. Tse shared his insights on the development of innovation and technology in modern China and the reasons why China's digital technology has become the top in the world, with his over 20 years of experience in providing strategic management consulting services to renowned enterprises in the Mainland and overseas. The lecture was hosted by Prof. Terence Chong, Associate Professor of Economics and Executive Director of Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance, CUHK.

Dr. Tse witnessed the rapid rise of China and pointed out that a new China-style standard is currently overturning the old Western business model. The characteristics of modern China have created a new wave of Chinese entrepreneurs who are re-establishing China's international positioning.

Dr. Tse believed that "learning from history, creating the future", and only by learning from the achievements of our predecessors and combining them with the latest innovations, can we break the conventions and limitations. He concluded the lecture by encouraging students to cultivate a critical mind and broaden their international horizons. He added that understanding more about the history and the macro situation, and applying technology to their professions will certainly be a plus for their career.
