On 24 May 2025, nearly 60 alumni from the Class of 1995, along with their family members, returned to New Asia College to celebrate their 30-year reunion, and reconnect with old friends and cherished memories.
The afternoon began with a campus tour, joined by around 20 alumni. Led by student ambassadors, the group took a coach to explore the University campus and learn about its latest developments. For many who have not visited CUHK for years, the transformation was striking—new Colleges, expanded facilities and modern architecture have reshaped the familiar landscape. After touring CUHK, the group returned to New Asia College for a walk down memory lane, revisiting Chi Hsing Hall, and exploring the fifth student hostel Mei Yun Tang which was completed in 2023. The spacious new dormitory stood in stark contrast to the older ones, with alumni impressed by the improved living conditions and feeling nostalgia for their old days.
The dinner was held at Yun Chi Hsien where nearly 60 alumni and guests gathered to celebrate. Special thanks go to alumna Ms. Mable Chan (95/English and Translation) who served as the emcee and brought great energy to the event. The evening began with a collective singing of the College Anthem, followed by a welcome speech of College Head Professor Sun-On Chan. Ms. Anny Wong, Chairperson of the College Alumni Association and 1995 graduate, also attended the dinner and addressed the attendees. During the dinner, alumni enjoyed reviewing old photographs and enthusiastically shared anecdotes about their schooldays, especially stories from dorm life which brought laughter and vivid memories of the past.
The success of this reunion was made possible by the dedicated efforts of class coordinators, to whom the College extends its sincere gratitude. We hoped that the 1995 Class would continue to support College activities and stay engaged with College development.
