Three Alumni Earned The 16th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards

Hosted by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, an online ceremony of The 16th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards were held earlier and three awards were presented to our alumni — “Artist of the Year (Literary Arts)” Dr. Tse Hiu-hung Dorothy (00/Chinese Language and Literature), “Award for Young Artist (Arts Criticism)” Dr. Wong Ka-ki (12/Chinese Language and Literature), and “Award for Young Artist (Visual Arts)” Ms. Lo Lai-lai Natalie (06/Fine Arts).

Dr. Tse is an Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing, Hong Kong Baptist University, and one of the Academic Committee members of the local cultural publication O-Square. She specializes in magic realism genre which several outstanding works have been published; Dr. Wong is an Assistant Professor and Associate Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Her research focuses on Hong Kong writers and literature, and her monograph on famous literary writer Yesi’s works were published last year; Ms. Lo was a travel journalist and is now producing art creations about the natural environment. Her artworks are mostly moving images, photography, installations and mixed media, some of which are held in the Sigg Collection and Asian Art Museum of San Francisco (the United States).
