The College’s 71st Graduation Ceremony was held at the University Mall on 24 November 2022. It was our honour to have invited Prof. David Faure, Emeritus Professor of the CUHK Department of History, Honorary Fellow of New Asia College, to officiate the Ceremony.

About 800 graduates of the College were awarded graduation certificates this year. The Ceremony was resumed to be held face-to-face, and live streaming was also made available to the graduates and parents who were unable to attend in person. Over 50 trustees and teaching staff attended the Ceremony.

College Head Prof. Hector Sun-On Chan officiated the Ceremony and delivered his remarks. He offered his congratulations, and encouraged graduates to stay strong and flexible in times of adversity. Officiating guest Prof. David Faure then shared with graduates the importance of perseverance, trust and adaptability to the environment by illustrating the story of Mr. Ch’ien Mu. He also encouraged the graduates to live a meaningful life.

At the end of the Ceremony, all guests and graduates walked up to the New Asia Concourse via the New Asia Road which is a traditional symbol of the College. A group photo was taken at the Concourse which marked the end of this memorable event.
