The Second Chinese Cultural Experience Camp of the College was successfully held from 16 to 18 July 2024. With the aim of promoting Chinese Culture, 48 junior secondary school students recommended by 25 local outstanding secondary schools attended the camp at the campus. The students were invited to stay at Xuexi Hall and Chih Hsing Hall to have a taste of hostel life. Through campus tours and ice-breaking games, they deepened their understanding of the College and experienced the unique College system of CUHK. Apart from these, a series of Chinese cultural activities were organised, including kung fu learning, Chinese paper cutting, chess culture experience, sharing from a famous actress of Cantonese opera, Chinese painting and calligraphy workshops. Traditional Chinese meals such as Poon Choi and dumplings were also provided.

With the generous sponsorship from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation, the event was organised successfully. The College sincerely hopes that the youngsters can learn to appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture, develop their potential abilities, and make great achievements in both academic performance and cultural competence. We look forward to meeting all young participants again at NA!
