[May 2024 issue]
A new stress-tolerant strain of soybean LH4, co-developed by NA-affiliated Professor Lam Hon-Ming (85/Biology), Choh-Ming Li Professor of Life Sciences and Director of State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology (CUHK) and Professor Zhang Guohong of Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, has been approved for use in Gansu Province. It is expected to further expand the growing areas of stress-resistant soybean strains and restore more marginal lands for agricultural use, while improving farmers’ livelihoods and promoting sustainable agricultural development. |
