Our Colleagues Received Funding Support from National Natural Science Foundation of China for 2023

Three NA-affiliated staff received funding awards from the National Nature Science Foundation of China for their research in Hong Kong. Professor Ng Chun-yu, Assistant Professor from the Department of Physics received funding of RMB2 million from the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong and Macao) for his research project entitled “Astroparticle Physics”. In addition, Professor Chen Yue, Assistant Professor from the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, as well as Professor Li Zhong, Assistant Professor from the Department of Biomedical Engineering received funding of RMB300,000 each from the Young Scientists Fund for a period of three years for their research projects entitled “Real-time Aggregation and Operation Methods for Distributed Energy Resources Based on an Energy Sharing Mechanism” and “Investigating Infrapatellar Fat Pad-mediated Knee Osteoarthritis Pathogenesis and Progression and Associated Mechanisms Using miniJoint Organ-on-a-chip Systems” respectively.
