The 30-year Reunion of Class 1994 was held on 25 May 2024, with the participation of more than 50 alumni and their family members. Activities such as campus tours and revisiting student hostels were conducted during the afternoon session.

At 3pm, some alumni arrived on campus to participate in the campus tour. They first took a tour of the University by shuttle bus, with student helpers introducing the new developments on campus. For some alumni who have not visited their alma mater for 30 years, the changes in the University were significant. In addition to the introduction of new Colleges, there have been many newly constructed buildings and facilities. They then continued with the tour of New Asia College. The College arranged a revisit to Chih Hsing Hall and then a visit to the newly completed fifth student hostel, “Mei Yun Tang”.

In the evening, more than 50 alumni and their family members arrived at Yun Chi Hsien. Following the tradition of reunion events, some alumni suggested inviting former teachers to join the event. This time, we were honoured to have Professor and Mrs. Ho Yin-ping of the Department of Economics attending the event, showing the precious bond between teachers and students.

The event began with the singing of the College Anthem, followed by a welcome speech by College Head Professor Sun-On Chan. Ms. Anny Wong, Chairperson of New Asia College Alumni Association also attended to show her support for the event. During the Poon Choi Dinner, the alumni not only reminisced about their time at the College, but also shared fun stories from the past. Many stories about hostel life were mentioned, bringing everyone back to thirty years ago with laughter.

This event would not be successful without the help of the class coordinators. We sincerely thank them and hope that the 1994 graduates will continue to support the College’s activities and care about the advancements of their alma mater.
