We are pleased to invite you to join the “Introduction to Tai Chi” course, proudly organized by the Committee on College Culture of New Asia College and co-organized by the New Asia Kung Fu Society, with sponsorship from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation. This course will be taught by Miss Pearly Au-Yeung, a New Asia College student and current member of the Hong Kong Wushu Team. It aims to help participants understand the basic principles and health concepts of Tai Chi Chuan, enhance physical and mental well-being through practice, and promote friendly community interaction. Details are as follows:
Course Instructor: Miss Pearly Au-Yeung (Current member of the Hong Kong Wushu Team)
Date: 14 October to 2 December 2025 (Every Tuesday, 8 sessions in total)
Time: 19:00 – 20:30
Venue: Dance Room, G/F, Leung Hung Kee Building, New Asia College
Participants: CUHK undergraduates and staff members (priority for NA students and staff)
Language: Chinese and English (Commands and movement names will be given primarily in Chinese, with English explanations. The instructor will ensure all participants understand the details.)
Course Objectives:
- Understand the basic principles and health concepts of Tai Chi Chuan.
- Learn and master basic Tai Chi techniques and footwork.
- Promote physical and mental relaxation, and improve body coordination and balance through practice.
- Provide a relaxed and friendly opportunity for community interaction.
