Eco-cultural Guided Tour to Shui Hau, Lantau Island

The College Culture Committee of New Asia College, in collaboration with the “Regenerating Shui Hau” Project of CUHK School of Architecture, is excited to present an Eco-cultural Guided Tour.  This unique experience offers an opportunity to connect with nature and delve into the rich traditional culture and history of Shui Hau.  Participants will engage in various workshops, observe rice farming and re-cultivation practices, make their own traditional snacks, and enjoy a special farm-to-table lunch.  All New Asia students and staff members are welcome to join. Let’s immerse ourselves in the vibrant traditional culture of Shui Hau.

Shui Hau is located among the mountains and has a rich traditional culture. Agricultural activities were once an important part of the villagers’ lives. This guided tour will take you through this 400-year-old coastal village, exploring Shui Hau’s traditional architecture, rituals, worshipping and ecological environment. By understanding Shui Hau’s history, let’s appreciate and preserve the local traditional culture together.

Participants will enjoy a wide variety of activities, and the best part is, it’s completely free!  Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience the rich culture of Shui Hau Village. Join us and be part of this enriching journey.
