College Activity
The Inauguration Ceremony for New Students of the College was scheduled for 6 September 2024. College Head Professor Sun-On Chan shared the College’s philosophy of holistic education and its educational spirit with the students in his welcome speech.

Alumni Connections
The “New Asia Forward. New Asia Hostel Homecoming Camp 2024” held between 6 and 7 July 2024 was a resounding success, attracting over 100 alumni and their families, spanning graduates from the 1970s to recent years. The event was one of the celebratory events of the College’s 75th Anniversary, aiming to enable alumni to reminisce their hostel life and share those precious memories with their families.

Column “Heterogeneity in a Single Theme”
The theme of this issue is “Reconciliation” and is written by two alumni Mr. Chan Pak-ka (07/Chinese Language and Literature) and Mr. Kung Man-chun (17/ Journalism and Communication). In the final stop of the “Journey of the Heart” in Italy, Pak-ka took us to the “Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels”, guiding us to return to our inner selves and learn to reconcile with ourselves. Man-chun, on the other hand, highlighted the preciousness of reconciliation in today’s society through the development of student protests in Bangladesh.

Column “Journey Around the Globe”
In this issue, we have invited Ms. Lam Chiu-yee Stella (06/Anthropology) to share with us her experiences of studying and working in London. Stella encouraged us to maintain a sense of curiosity about life, to enjoy the excitement and challenges brought by new things, no matter where we were.
