Anniversary Publications
To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of New Asia College, the Anniversary Publication Committee will compile and publish the writings of Professor Ho Chien-tsung. To provide readers with a deeper understanding of Professor Ho, Professor Nicholas Louis Chan, the Editor-in-Chief of New Asia Life Monthly Magazine and Associate Professor and Vice-Chairof the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, has specially prepared a postscript for the publication.
Column “Heterogeneity in a Single Theme”
The theme of this issue is “Period of Recuperation” written by two alumni Ms. Wong Yuk-shan (18/Fine Arts) and Mr. Kung Man-chun (17/Journalism and Communication). Yuk-shan shared her creative narrative of recovering from an eye disease, while Man-chun expressed his understanding of recuperation has evolved over different periods of his life.
Contributions
This issue featured contributions from Professor Cheung Chin-hung, Professor of the Department of Anthropology. Based on his earlier lecture given for the New Asia Cultural Talk, his article deconstructed the cultural traditions of incense in China and Japan through the lens of poetry.
