[Academic Lecture]
The Yu Ying-shih Lecture in History 2022/23 was held on 6 and 8 May 2023 with Professor Xu Guoqi, Professor, Department of History, The University of Hong Kong, as the speaker. Tsang Hoi-lam (History/Year 2) summarised the essence of the lectures for readers’ review.

[Exchange Sharing]
The College organised a cultural exchange and study tour to Suzhou from 14 to 17 May for the ninth and tenth batches of New Asia Young Scholars, and the representative of the College Students’ Union. This issue features a speech by College Head Prof. Sun-On Chan, an article from Dr. Gu Mei and a sharing from Dong Rancheng (History/Year 3).

[Column “Farm Road Memories”]
Prof. Chan Che-shing (62/Chinese Literature) reminisced about the time when Mr. Mou Jun-sun taught History at the College on its Farm Road campus. He also talked about Mr. Mou’s lectures and works.

[Column “Heterogeneity in a Single Theme”]
The theme of this issue is “cold hands, warm heart”, and is written by two alumni Mr. Chan Pak-ka (07/Chinese Language and Literature) and Mr. Kung Man-chun (17/Journalism and Communication). Pak-ka recorded his trip to Kyushu, Japan and wrote about various associations with the Sakurajima volcano. Man-chun recorded his experience of attending restorative yoga classes with his friends which inspired him to think about the issues of trust and openness.

[Contributions]
Ms. Yeung Kin-sie (78/Chinese Language and Literature) reminisced about Prof. Kwong Kin-hung (62/Chinese) who passed away last month. She recalled Prof. Kwong’s lectures, writings and works, and the precious moments spent with him. She also mentioned his unique affection for Greece.
