After the onslaught of Super Typhoon Mangkhut in 2018, the Government established a temporary yard waste recycling site to recycle the fallen trees generated and other general yard waste. To rachet up the scale of yard waste recycling and diversify the types of recyclable products, based on the past experience the Government develops Y·PARK, a yard waste recycling centre, which aims to promote recycling of yard waste into useful materials, reducing disposal at landfills and relevant carbon emission, realising “zero landfill” and facilitating carbon neutrality in the long run. (Source: https://www.ypark.hk/en/)

Participants will visit the facilities in the park through a guided tour, and also learn more about the wood recycling process and the recycled products. ALL NA students and staff are welcome.
