This issue featured Zheng Xianyi (MBChB/4)’s participation in a historical walk at Tsim Sha Tsui, under the New Asia Young Scholars Scheme, led by renowned historian Professor Ting Sun-pao Joseph.
Column “Heterogeneity in a Single Theme”
The theme of this issue is “Another World” and is written by two alumni Ms. Chung Hang-yu Vanessa (17/English) and Mr. Yang Sze-ngai Raymond (17/Government and Public Administration). Vanessa approached the topic in the form of a film review, revealing the work’s deeper meanings about obsession, good and evil, and reincarnation, while Raymond explored the film from the perspective of spiritual practice, and shared his insights on healing and letting go.
Contributions
Entering the “Fire Horse Year”, Dr. Hung Yeuk-chun (96/Chinese Language and Literature), Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, was invited to introduce the linguistic origins behind the term “Fire Horse”. In addition, alumnus Mr. Ip Hon-chow (72/Sociology) contributed an article about a two-day trip to Macau and Zhuhai with a group of fellow alumni.
