“AI for Social Good” Challenge 2026
Supported by the “1+1+1 CUHK-CUHK(SZ)-GDSTC Joint Collaboration Fund”
Co-organized by New Asia College, CUHK and Harmonia College, CUHK-Shenzhen, this competition aims to inspire students to harness the power of artificial intelligence to address real-world social challenges. It encourages participants to design innovative solutions that improve social services, enhance community well-being, and promote inclusivity and sustainability.
Theme
AI for Social Good: Innovating Solutions for Better Services
Eligibility
- Open to undergraduates globally. Applicants must meet two requirements: attend a university with a collegiate system and be a registered member of one of its colleges.
- Each team may consist of 2–4 students.
- Cross-college teams (e.g. CUHK + CUHK(SZ)) are encouraged.
Competition Details

Awards & Recognition
Entries will be reviewed by the panel of experts appointed by the organizers. The following awards will be presented:
- Champion — Certificate and Cash Prize of HKD 8,000
- First Runner-up — Certificate and Cash Prize of HKD 6,000
- Second Runner-up — Certificate and Cash Prize of HKD 4,000
- Two Merit Awards — Certificate and Cash Prize of HKD 1,000
Winning teams will present their projects at the showcase event and receive certificates and prizes.
