The Third Chinese Cultural Summer Camp of the College was successfully held from 15 to 17 July 2025. With the aim of promoting Chinese Culture, 58 junior secondary school students recommended by 31 local outstanding secondary schools attended the camp on the CUHK campus.
The students were invited to stay at Daisy Li Hall to get a taste of hostel life. Through campus tours and ice-breaking games, they have deepened their understanding of the College and experienced the unique College system of CUHK.
Apart from these, a series of Chinese cultural activities were organised, including Chinese kung fu learning, Chinese paper cutting, chess culture experience, sharing by a famous Cantonese opera actress, Chinese painting and calligraphy workshops, etc. A dumpling-making activity was also arranged to introduce Chinese culinary culture to the students.
With the generous sponsorship of the Tin Ka Ping Foundation, the event was successfully concluded. The College sincerely hoped that the youngsters could learn to appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture, develop their potential, and achieve great success in both academic performance and cultural competence. We look forward to meeting all young participants again at New Asia!
