The College’s 74th Graduation Ceremony was held on 6 November 2025 at the University Mall. We were honoured to have Professor Lee Chack-fan (GBM, GBS, JP), Director of the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole of The University of Hong Kong, as the officiating guest.
This year, around 760 graduates of the College were awarded graduation certificates, with more than 550 attending the Ceremony in person. Live streaming was also made available to graduates and parents who were unable to attend in person.
In his opening remarks, College Head Professor Sun-On Chan extended his heartfelt congratulations to all graduates. He cited Clause 23 of “The Academic Code of New Asia College: Philosophy and Principles”, encouraging students to uphold the New Asia Spirit by persevering with determination, cultivating virtue, serving society, and contributing to the preservation and innovation of Chinese culture.
Professor Lee Chack-fan then addressed the graduates, sharing his many years of collaboration with New Asia alumnus Professor Tsui Lap-chee. He highlighted Professor Tsui’s people-centred and empathetic approach, which earned him tremendous respect and was a key factor in his professional achievements. Professor Lee encouraged graduates to embrace the New Asia Spirit of perseverance and resilience, as well as the spirit of compassion and care for others. These qualities, he remarked, would undoubtedly support them in achieving success, and in building a rewarding and joyful life ahead.
At the end of the Ceremony, all guests and graduates followed the tradition by walking along New Asia Road to the New Asia Amphitheatre for a group photo, marking a warm and memorable conclusion to the event.
