The Mentorship Programme of the College has come to its 26th year. With the great support of the New Asia College Alumni Association (NACAA) and other alumni, 200 mentors and mentees participated in the Programme this year, with new mentors who graduated between 1978 and 2020 joining us. Enthusiasm and support from trustees, teachers and alumni are highly appreciated.

The Inauguration Ceremony of the Programme was held on 1 November 2025 afternoon at Hui Kwok Hau Hall, Mei Yun Tang of the College. A briefing session for mentors explaining Programme details to new members was also held before the Ceremony.

College Head Professor Sun-On Chan and NACAA Chairperson Mr. Kenny Mo gave their welcoming speeches at the Ceremony. In addition to expressing gratitude for the enthusiastic support from our mentors, they also encouraged the mentees to cherish the opportunity to get to know different members of the New Asia community and to learn from them. It was also hoped that everyone would become good confidants and carry forward the spirit of New Asia.

On that day, Professor Chan, Mr. Mo and College Dean of Students Professor Kenneth Cheung presented long service awards to mentors who have served in the Programme for more than five years. We were delighted to have invited the awardees of the Long Service Award for Senior Mentors, Mr. Lau Hing-bun Kevin (92/Integrative Engineering Programme) and Mr. Leung Wai-cheong Derek (79/Biology), to share their mentoring experiences.

We would like to thank the mentors for their years of support. Alumni who are interested in becoming mentors may look out for the College’s recruitment email in July or August each year. Alumni are also welcome to enquire about the Programme at any time:
