Summer Japanese Language and Cultural Exploration Programme

Aims

The programme aims at enhancing students’ Japanese proficiency and deepening their understanding of the tradition and culture of Kansai region (particularly Kyoto) in Japan. Twelve New Asia students (with “New Practical Japanese I” level or above) are selected by the College to attend a three-week programme including Japanese learning classes(elementary to medium level), various cultural activities and opportunities on exchange with local students at Kyoto Sangyo University in June. Additionally, the group will go for a one-week study trip in Japan before returning to Hong Kong.

Period
17 June – 11 July 2019.

 

Frees

HK$13,500* (including tuition fees, round-trip air-ticket#, accommodation and extra-curricular activities). Additionally, participants need to pay the meals, accommodation and personal expenditures during a one-week study trip in Japan.

* The college will provide a subsidy of HK$9,000 to each participant upon the completion of the programme.

# Participants should travel by the same flight on both outbound and inbound.

 

Criteria

- New Asia students with “New Practical Japanese I” level or above, or equivalent level acquired from other educational organizations are eligible to apply.

- Interview is required.

- Participants have to submit a study report upon the completion of the programme.
