Online Sharing Session "Wastes and Recycling under the New Normal"

It is a big change in our lifestyle under the pandemic, particularly more demand for express service and food delivery. At the same time, it also produces a large amount of disposable wastes. Are all these wastes unavoidable? How could we live through this difficult pandemic while contributing to the environment? The Committee on Environmental Protection has invited two guests to share their experience in eco-friendly practices in terms of personal living and also the Hong Kong recycling industry. All are welcome!

Medicinal Plants in CUHK

The Committee on Environmental Protection of New Asia College is organizing a tour “Medicinal Plants in CUHK” with Dr. David Lau, Curator of Shiu-Ying Hu Herbarium, to visit CUHK’s Herbal Garden and to learn more about different kinds of medicinal plants. All NA students and staff are welcome to participate. Details are as follows:

"The Beauty of Nature in CUHK" Photo Contest

The Committee on Environmental protection organize "The Beauty of Nature in CUHK" Photo Contest with the aim to encourage students and staff to be more exposed to the nature, to discover CUHK's natural beauty and wonders and, to share these beautiful photos that inspire them. Summer Japanese Language and Cultural Exploration Programme 2022 (ONLINE)

The programme aims at enhancing students’ Japanese proficiency and deepening their understanding of the tradition and culture of Kansai region (particularly Kyoto) in Japan. Ten New Asia students (“New Practical Japanese I” level or above) are selected by the College to attend a two-week ONLINE programme provided by Kyoto Sangyo University including Japanese learning classes (elementary to lower intermediate level), cultural events and the opportunity to meet online with local students. Upon the completion of the programme, students would be awarded with a certificate of participation issued by Kyoto Sangyo University.
