New Asia Young Scholars Scheme 2019/20

The New Asia Young Scholars Scheme, which started in 2013, aims at increasing students’ understanding towards College history & spirit, empowering them to become responsible individuals towards the society as well as equipping them with qualities that contemporary intellectuals and leaders should possess.
10 students will be selected and they will participate in a series of activities from August 2019 to April 2020, including: (1) A historical trip to Mainland China or Taiwan; (2) Training on communication skills; (3) Different kinds of Chinese culture workshops; and (4) Various types of College activities such as serving as the emcee for College functions and events, or attending meetings of the College. Students who have successfully completed the Scheme will be named as “New Asia Young Scholars”, together with a certificate and scholarship from the College.
All New Asia students are welcome to applyNote1&2. Students can download application forms from the College website and the application deadline is Monday, 11 March 2019. Shortlisted applicants will be informed by phone and will be required to attend a selection interview scheduled on Thursday, 28 March 2019 morning.
For further introduction, a seminar will be held by Mr. Roland Lam, one of the volunteer mentors of the scheme. Details of the seminar are as follow:

Note1: Preference will be given to non-graduating students in 2019/20.
Note2: There is a parallel program for non-Cantonese applicants. Details will be announced during the seminar mentioned above (This parallel program does not provide scholarship).
